Hey SWSB! With the arrival of the 4th of July, two things automatically comes to mind: fireworks and cookouts. Since I have already mentioned fireworks in my previous post, this one will be dedicated to delicious recipes for your cookout.

In my last post, I spoke about the Starlight and Fireworks spectacular at Panola Mountain Park. Well, you could use some of these recipes, pack a picnic, and enjoy some prime cookout foods under the stars amidst various bursts of color. Doesn’t that sound great?

One recipe that you could try is for sweet and smokey baby back ribs with Bourbon BBQ sauce. Doesn’t that sound delish? The BBQ grill will be used as a smoker, leaving these ribs with such a rich, distinct taste, that your cookout guests will be begging for more!

Another recipe is for Tequila-Glazed Chicken with jalapeno. It looks like cooking with spirits is the name of the game here. Tequila glazed chicken with jalapeno? That’s sure to have a distinct kick to it.

For a different spin on a classic cheeseburger, try the Outside-In Cheeseburger Sliders. These are very kid friendly (and kid sized) and it prevents the cheese from melting off of the burger while on the grill. Ingenious right?

You can find all of these and more on bonappetit.com. Be sure to bring some of these delicacies with you to Panola Mountain and share with your neighbors! I know I’ll be grateful. :)

Happy 4th of July!
